Here's the scenario: you've been teaching kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, high school or even college for a number of years. You find the work rewarding. You love your students. You love the satisfaction of seeing the knowledge that you have to impart take hold in your students. They understand it. They think about it and think through it. They apply it with increased skill, pleasure and fulfillment. The problem remains, however, that notwithstanding your personal satisfaction in teaching, you find yourself required to supplement your income with another part-time job just to make ends meet.

In fact, you may be one who has had to have multiple part-time jobs simultaneously and you still experience more month than money. You live with a burden, your stomach in knots, a cloud of anxiety that sweeps over you on an ever-increasingly frequent basis. All-of-a-sudden, you "wake up" the "light goes on" one day and you realize that you don't want food stamps as your only option in old age. You don't want grown children to feel obligated to care for you. Or, if you're single, you realize you will have no family member who could care for you in your old age. You know that your social security check may not even cover food expenses for a month. For you it may be that you awakened to the fact that you can't afford medical insurance and will have nothing to pay for events and illness or hospitalizations that may become essential for your care. You realize that you HAVE TO find, have to work at, have to succeed at something that will drastically change your financial situation. If I've spoken to you, this is for you.

The Internet has changed the market place from being restricted to a store in a town, a county, a state, or if it's a chain of shops or restaurants, even a country. The world, the entire planet is now the "market place" because of the Internet. If you have or have use of a computer, you need to know that there are a number of viable Internet-based businesses anyone of which you can join and in which you can work from home, successfully.

Now, before going on with my train of thought in the previous paragraph, let me ask you, if you were checking out the carpentry trade, would you base your opinions primarily on the advice of a fruit merchant whose only connection with carpentry was to use a table on which to put his fruit? If you were researching what you need to know and where you need to study to become a veterinary doctor, would you base your opinions primarily on the advice of a truck driver who had no pets? If you wanted to know whether you had a special talent for singing, would you base your opinions about yourself on the advice of a tobacco-growing uncle who was tone deaf? No. If you were serious, you'd consult DIRECTLY with several skilled carpenters, several veterinary doctors of repute and one or two professionally-trained singers as well as one or two voice teachers. The point is this. You'd get your best advice from those IN the business.

Returning to our previous thought: There are multitudes of businesses advertising on the Internet. Take your time to research them. Be aware that any multilevel marketing network company, like Amway, Shaklee, EcoQuest International, Herbalife, etc., takes an enormous amount of work over a long period of time (24 to 60 months) to bring in between $2,000 and $3,000 a month. The statistics prove that 97% of the people who start out in these companies fail within the first year and only 3% succeed. There are, however, a relatively recent line of specifically Internet-based businesses that are on the cutting edge in their use of technology and whose members use the world-wide capacity of the marketplace to build solid and quickly-growing profitable businesses with a remarkable income capability. Prior to these, (Reverse Marketing with Ty Coughlin, Global Networks - selling travel, Liberty League, and Big Ticket to Wealth, all among them) many pyramid schemes, chain emails and "get rich quick" schemes were recognized as scams. The above named and many others are not scams. Each one takes work. You need to do your research and due diligence.

Besides the product, since you are looking to earn a very different income than what you are used to earning, be sure to check out the compensation plan. You need to know that a "1-up" "2-up" "5-up" plan means that after you pay your investment fee, (frequently anywhere from 3 to 5 thousand dollars) to "QUALIFY" to the level in which you can finally begin to earn income, you "pass-up" your first 1, or 2, or 5 sales to your sponsor. During this initial time, s/he has some incentive to "help you get started" because s/he is the primary beneficiary of your work! Once that is over, s/he may have little or no incentive to help you. Look for a compensation plan that is equitable and in which you can get started profiting on your first sale. One last heads up. Be aware that a growing number of marketers actually attempt to get business by denigrating (speaking evil of) their competitors. If a business is worthy of acceptance, its members won't need to bad-mouth their competitors even when comparing products and compensation plans.

Teachers are often some of the most hardworking and under-paid folk. If you are one of those, you need to know that you CAN have financial freedom, working from home, on the Internet.
